A BALANCING ACT | Documentary Film | Karagattam

A documentary about the rich history and culture of the deshi dance form – Karagattam which originates from Tamilnadu. This talks about the historical origin of the Shakthi Karagam and how it further evolved into another branch Aatta Karagam. Visual representation of the dance form, how the pot (karagam) is decorated and different types of karagattam have been presented in this documentary film. This documentary is one step towards promoting this fading art form that consists of our age old traditions, shastras and practices.
